Abstract

Legal education plays an important role in creating a just and prosperous rule of law in Indonesia. As one of the main pillars in the legal system, legal education not only aims to produce competent legal practitioners, but also to shape legal characters with integrity. This research aims to explore the role of legal education in realizing a just and prosperous legal state, as well as the challenges and solutions faced in improving the quality of legal education in Indonesia. This research uses a qualitative approach with literature study as the main method to analyze various literatures relevant to this topic. The main findings of this study show that although legal education in Indonesia has experienced various advancements, there are still significant challenges, such as the lack of teaching quality, a curriculum that is not in line with the latest legal developments, and inequality between universities providing legal education. As a solution, this study recommends curriculum adjustments, improved training for teachers, and closer collaboration between the government and legal education institutions. Hopefully, with the implementation of these solutions, legal education in Indonesia can be more relevant, high quality, and able to produce legal practitioners with integrity, thus supporting the achievement of a just and prosperous rule of law.
