This study aims to map and synthesize production-based community empowerment models in order to improve local economic development in rural areas through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. By analyzing various empirical and conceptual studies, this research identifies a number of key models such as Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD), Collaborative Production Model, and Digital Empowerment Model that have proven effective in increasing production capacity, strengthening local institutional structures, and expanding market access through digitalization. The results of the study show that production-based empowerment models contribute significantly to increasing rural community income and the sustainability of local businesses. This study also provides theoretical contributions in the form of a systematic mapping of empowerment models and practical recommendations for policymakers and researchers. However, this study has limitations related to the availability of online articles and contextual variations between countries. Therefore, further research through field studies and longitudinal studies is needed to examine the implementation of these models in greater depth and assess their long-term impact on local economic development.
